Registration
Registration is on a first come - first served basis with full payment required. Class size is limited to fourteen students (unless otherwise noted in class description) with a minimum of seven students for a class to be conducted. Early registration is strongly encouraged to avoid class cancellations. Please note class start dates. There are no confirmation or reminder notices issued. Open studio time will be available for both ceramics and two-dimensional disciplines so students may work outside of class time to finish projects. The times will be announced at the start of classes.
Only registered students are allowed in the studios. The Tucson Museum of Art reserves the right to withdraw (without refund of fees) the enrollment of any student whose conduct is considered to be detrimental to the creative process.
Class Cancellations - Schedule Changes
The Tucson Museum of Art reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment (seven students) is not met three business days prior to start date. Students will be contacted in the case of a class cancellation and given a full refund. In order to offer the highest quality programming the Museum reserves the right to make changes in programming without notice.
Refunds and Transfers
Refunds will be issued to students who cancel their paid registration provided notices are received in writing by the Museum by the times noted below. There will be a $25.00 fee for all cancellations and transfers of classes. It is the student's responsibility to confirm the receipt of cancellation notice. If you need to cancel, the following policies will apply:
The Tucson Museum of Art cannot offer make-up classes or give refunds for classes not attended by students.
Student artwork and materials
Due to storage constraints, students' artwork or materials cannot be kept beyond the end of each session. Please remove all student art and materials at the end of classes. The Tucson Museum of Art is not responsible for students' belongings left behind.
Materials
Material lists will be mailed upon registration (unless otherwise noted in class descriptions). For basic supplies we recommend Sarnoff's Art Supplies. Sarnoff's staff is very knowledgeable in artist's needs and supplies. All ceramics classes require students to bring 25 lbs of Cone 10 clay such as "Rod's Bod" stoneware (unless otherwise noted in class descriptions). We recommend Marjons' Ceramics. Please keep your receipts in case of class cancellations.
