The Education Department at the Tucson Museum of Art presents a wide range of programs for all ages including lectures from visiting artists and scholars; family programs; studio arts for adults; and the new Museum School for the Visual Arts as well as the Research Library, and popular Summer Youth Program.
Throughout the year exhibition-specific and art history lectures are given in the auditorium.
From November through March, members of the Docent Council give talks on individual artists or genres twice a month.
Special gallery talks and slide presentations by artists and/or curators are scheduled throughout the year. Check the Calendar for upcoming events.
Public and private tours are available for groups and may include exhibitions, specific collection areas, or the historic block.
Family Arts Days give children and their adult companions a chance to learn something new together and create an original art work, and are offered on the first Sunday of the month in conjunction with the Museum's free admission day.
