In celebration of International Women’s Day and in conjunction with current exhibition Feminina: Images of the Feminine from Latin America, Beowulf Alley Theatre Company presents Lysistrata by Aristophanes at the Tucson Museum of Art. The women of Athens and Sparta grow weary of their men fighting endless wars, but Lysistrata has a crafty plan to bring them home for good. This ribald, classic comedy is just as relevant today as it was to the audiences of ancient Athens.
* Not suitable for younger audiences
