In celebration of Dia de los Muertos, an altar was erected in the Palice Pavilion in honor of the Corbett family who built and occupied the J. Knox Corbett house, a 1907 home located on the historic block and restored to its Mission Revival glory.
The Corbett family included J. Knox Corbett (1861 - 1934), his wife Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hughes Corbett (1864 - 1936), and their children, Hiram Stevens Corbett (1886 - 1968) and Guielma "Gulie" Corbett (1898 - 1945).
