A year long series dedicated to exhibting the works of six artists of Latino/a and Chicano/a heritage, who currently work and live in the southwestern United States.
Second in the series, the works of this Bay Area artist explores the latino/a Diaspora. Her works explore issues of human rights reflecting upon the cataclysm inflicted upon non-combatant peoples caught between the throws of amoral politicians and civil war. She recalls the Dirty War, in her native Argentina during the 1970’s, and subsequently references her stays in Central America following the tumult of civil war. Her monotypes always maintain a figurative reference within the abstracted planes of contrasting color.
