The League is a group of diverse people with a shared interest in supporting the Tucson Museum of Art. Membership benefits include: monthly meetings where business and socializing keep members informed and connected, invitations to Museum and special League events, plus the satisfaction of working on projects where creativity and talents can shine.
For this spring fundraiser, League members invite museum staff and community supporters to host gourmet dinners. The dates and menus for the dinners are published in a brochure so that participants can choose the location and cuisine they prefer. Invitations are sent to museum members and friends, many of whom profess to prefer Dinner a L'Art to an event at a fine restaurant.
This fall event offers antiques, used furniture, silver, china, and other assorted decorative and household items for sale. The community eagerly awaits these treasures and museum members enjoy a special preview party the night before it opens the to public.
Held every other year for five weeks in the spring, the Designer Showhouse offers local interior designers, landscapers, and craftsmen the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. Special design seminars, luncheons, fashion shows and an artful gift boutique add to the excitement.
The League also plays a lead supportive role in this annual, two-day spring festival that celebrates the fine art of wine.
