Ways To Give

There are many ways you can help the Tucson Museum of Art present great exhibitions and programs. We welcome your participation and encourage you to consider these options, which may be tax-deductible, based upon your tax circumstances.

Give the Gift of Membership

A membership to the Tucson Museum of Art makes the perfect gift for children who are learning to explore their world, for a newlywed couple just beginning to discover their common interests, for that person on your list who already has everything, or simply for someone with whom you want to share your joy in art.

Remember Someone Special

Help a loved one celebrate a special milestone in his or her life through a "Gift Made in Honor" of that occasion. Remember friends' and family members' birthdays, anniversaries, or personal successes by making a gift in their names to Museum programs they enjoy (such as exhibition support, education programs, or collection expansion).

The Museum will notify the celebrant of your kindness, and you will get a thank-you letter for your records.

Gifts can also be made in memory of those who have passed on. The Museum will notify family members that this thoughtful and enduring gesture has been made, and you will get a thank-you letter for your records.

Program Support

Make a gift to a specific Museum program:

  • Annual Appeal - maintaining and improving our Museum to make it a safe place for our collections and a wonderful place for you and others to visit. The lifeblood of the Museum: providing for essential daily operations, presenting exhibitions, providing educational programming, and superb collections management, including cataloguing, storage and conservation.
  • Education Programs - bringing creativity and inspiration to children and adults

Exhibition Underwriters/Sponsorships

The Tucson Museum of Art presents a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions each year; it often costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring a major exhibition to Tucson. Generous exhibition underwriters in the community help to make exhibitions possible. Gifts of any amount toward a temporary exhibition will be credited in the Museum's annual report; gifts of $1,000 or more toward most exhibitions are recognized on the donor wall to the exhibition and in materials associated with that exhibition. Please contact the development department for more information.

Endowment

Consider a gift to our endowment to ensure that the Museum will be able to continue its exciting exhibitions and programming in perpetuity. Invested to provide income through interest earned, your gift will continue giving each year.

Outright Gifts

Gifts of cash, securities or real property are outright gifts that can be used to support the current and ongoing needs of the Tucson Museum of Art. For example, your gift of cash and checks, securities and mutual funds, real estate, retirement plan assets, life insurance policies, and art help the Museum in its exhibitions, programming and day-to-day operations.

Planned Giving

While cash contributions are always appreciated, there are other creative and flexible options that can benefit you and the Museum. The term "planned giving" refers to any major gift that involves financial or estate planning. Today, planned gifts are more important than ever to the Museum's stability and future success. Such gifts can provide important benefits both to you and to the Tucson Museum of Art.

The different types of planned gifts can include bequests in a will; a gift through a trust; life income plans (charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts); charitable lead trusts; gifts of life insurance policies, gifts from retirement plans (an IRA or 401(k)); gifts of real estate, or tangible personal property.

Please consult your tax, financial, or legal advisor when considering or making a planned gift.
