Parking & Directions

The Museum is located on a full city block bounded by West Alameda, North Main Ave, West Washington, and North Meyer in the historic El Presidio neighborhood located in the heart of downtown Tucson.

The official street address is 140 North Main Avenue.

Parking

The Museum has a free lot for visitors on the north end of the historic block off Washington Street. Metered street parking is also available as well as a number of pay parking garages/lots around the Museum.

Directions from the East: Follow Speedway west to the traffic light at Stone Avenue and turn left. Follow Stone south towards downtown. At the second traffic light after the railroad bridge, take a right onto Alameda. Go through the traffic light at Church Avenue and take the second right onto Main Avenue. Take the next right onto Washington Street (next to the fire hydrant) for the parking lot.

Directions from the Northwest: Follow Oracle (State Route 77) south, bearing right at the traffic light at Drachman. Continue just past Speedway and cross the railroad tracks. Take a left at the next traffic light (St. Mary's Road). Take the next right onto Main Avenue (there is a small street sign that says El Presidio). Follow Main Ave. past the stop sign and take the next left onto Washington Street (next to the fire hydrant) for the parking lot.

Directions from eastbound Interstate 10: Take the Speedway exit and follow the frontage road to Broadway/Congress Street. Take a left onto Congress at the traffic light traveling east (Please note: the street signs for Congress have been temporarily taken down. It is the first exit after St. Mary's Road. There is a sign pointing towards Broadway/Government Center just prior to the exit). Take a left on Granada at the traffic light. Take the first right onto Alameda and then left onto Main Avenue. Take the next right onto Washington Street (next to the fire hydrant) for the parking lot.

Directions from westbound Interstate 10: Take the 29th Street exit. Follow the frontage road to Broadway/Congress Street and take a right (Please note: the street signs for Congress have been temporarily taken down. It is the first exit after 22nd Street). Take the a left on Granada at the next traffic light. Take the first right onto Alameda and then left onto Main Avenue. Take the next right onto Washington Street (next to the fire hydrant) for the parking lot.

Directions from Interstate 19: Take the 29th Street exit - CAUTION: this exit comes up quickly after the Ajo Highway exit, please pay attention to the traffic signs. Follow the frontage road to Broadway/Congress Street and take a right. Take the a left on Granada at the next traffic light. Take the first right onto Alameda and then left onto Main Avenue. Take the next right onto Washington Street (next to the fire hydrant) for the parking lot.
