American Art

The collection of American Art is comprised of works dating from the mid-nineteenth century to the early twentieth century. It includes American Impressionist paintings, early American portraits, landscapes, and genre scenes, furniture, and decorative arts.

Represented artists include: Howard Russell Butler, William Merritt Chase, John Singleton Copley, Frederick Carl Frieseke, William Glackens, Albert Pike Lucas among others.
