Campus and staff
Due to ever-changing concerns surrounding COVID-19, TMA’s campus is closed and our public programs are canceled until further notice, prioritizing the health and safety of staff and community. Museum administration is operating at limited capacity and precautions such as physical distancing and the recommendation to stay home are in place.
TMA will extend the current feature exhibition, Southwest Rising: Contemporary Art and the Legacy of Elaine Horwitch, through Sunday, September 20, 2020. We hope you will have the opportunity to revisit this powerhouse of an exhibition by TMA’s Chief Curator, Dr. Julie Sasse. Take advantage of some quiet time at home in the coming weeks by diving into Dr. Sasse’s accompanying book of the same title (available online through the museum store and shipped to your door).
Construction of the Kasser Family Wing of Latin American Art remains on schedule. Still, without a clear idea when the museum will welcome back visitors, the opening date is to be determined.
