On the first Thursday of every month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. On August\u2019s First Thursday explore ideas of expansion found within Viajeros en el tiempo: fundaciones, transformaciones y expansiones en el Centenario<\/a><\/em> and throughout the museum.<\/p>\n

During First Thursdays TMA provides space for emerging and established food vendors throughout Arizona to offer pop-ups and encourage guests to support local businesses and foodie creatives. On August first, purchase burgers and tacos from Muncheez<\/a>. Enjoy a cash bar serving beer and wine, art and gallery activities led by ami<\/a> y Laila<\/a>, music by mmra<\/a>, and from 6:00 \u2013 7:30 p.m. a Death Cafe (registrar aqu\u00ed<\/a>) facilitated by Alice Vath and Cara Carrillo.<\/p>\n

Through early 2025, TMA will host the Mexican American Heritage and History Museum<\/a>\u2019s monthly history social during First Thursdays while the Sosa-Carrillo House is closed for remodel. Join Mauro Trejo IV, Los Descendientes board member and MexAm Museum volunteer for a history social. This 30-minute (registrar aqu\u00ed<\/a>) program will spotlight aspects of Tucson\u2019s history and create space for community dialogue.<\/p>\n

Durante los Primeros Jueves, TMA brinda espacio para que los vendedores de comida emergentes y establecidos de Arizona ofrezcan ventanas emergentes y alienten a los invitados a apoyar a las empresas locales y a los creativos gastron\u00f3micos. El primero de agosto, compra hamburguesas y tacos de Muncheez<\/a>. Disfruta de una barra de efectivo que sirve cerveza y vino, actividades de arte y galer\u00eda dirigidas por ami<\/a> y Laila<\/a>, y m\u00fasica de mmra<\/a>, y de 6:00 a 7:30 p.m. un Death Caf\u00e9 (reg\u00edstrese aqu\u00ed<\/a>) facilitado por Alice Vath y Cara Carrillo.<\/p>\n

Hasta principios de 2025, TMA albergar\u00e1 la reuni\u00f3n social de historia mensual del Museo de Historia y Patrimonio Mexicano-Americano<\/a> durante los Primeros Jueves mientras la Casa Sosa-Carrillo est\u00e9 cerrada por remodelaci\u00f3n. \u00danase a Mauro Trejo IV, miembro de la junta directiva de Los Descendientes y voluntario del Museo MexAm en un evento social de historia.
