On the first Thursday of every month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. These evenings feature emerging and established food vendors, unique art-making and gallery experiences, and music!<\/p>\n

Join us on January 2nd to embrace ideas of renewal throughout the galleries and enjoy a singing bowl performance that will conclude with a collective tarot reading with Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher Rose of TarotByRose333<\/a>. Gallery and art-making activities will offer an opportunity to slow down and explore repetition. And don\u2019t miss live music by AJ Odneal<\/a> in the galleries from 5:30 \u2013 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Through early 2025, TMA will host the Mexican American Heritage and History Museum<\/a>\u2019s monthly history social during First Thursdays while the Sosa-Carrillo House<\/a> is closed for remodel. During the program, Mauro Trejo IV, Los Descendientes board member and MexAm Museum volunteer will share insights on various aspects of Tucson\u2019s history. This 30-minute program (registrar aqu\u00ed<\/a>) will spotlight aspects of Tucson\u2019s history and create space for community dialogue.<\/p>\n

First Thursday is presented by an anonymous donor. This program was funded in part by Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona with funding from The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 through the City of Tucson<\/em>.<\/p>\n
