On the first Thursday of every month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. These evenings feature emerging and established food vendors, unique art-making and gallery experiences, and music!<\/p>\n

Join TMA on February 6th for an evening focused on collaboration and collective creativity. Purchase food from CowPig<\/a>, enjoy a cash bar serving beer and wine, participate in art and gallery activities led by ami<\/a> y Laila<\/a>, and enjoy a performance by Tucson Symphony Orchestra<\/a>\u2019s Wind Quintet.<\/p>\n

Through early 2025, TMA will host the Mexican American Heritage and History Museum<\/a>\u2019s monthly history social during First Thursdays while the Sosa-Carrillo House<\/a> is closed for remodel. During the program, Mauro Trejo IV, Los Descendientes board member and MexAm Museum volunteer will share insights on various aspects of Tucson\u2019s history. This 30-minute program (registrar aqu\u00ed<\/a>) will spotlight aspects of Tucson\u2019s history and create space for community dialogue.<\/p>\n

First Thursday is presented by an anonymous donor. This program was funded in part by Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona with funding from The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 through the City of Tucson<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u00danete a TMA el 6 de febrero para una noche centrada en la colaboraci\u00f3n y la creatividad colectiva. Compra comida de CowPig<\/a>, disfruta de una barra de efectivo que sirve cerveza y vino, participa en actividades de arte y galer\u00eda dirigidas por ami<\/a> y Laila<\/a>, y disfruta de una actuaci\u00f3n del Quinteto de Viento de la Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Tucson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hasta principios de 2025, TMA albergar\u00e1 la reuni\u00f3n social de historia mensual del Museo de Historia y Patrimonio Mexicano-Americano<\/a> durante los primeros jueves mientras la Casa Sosa-Carrillo<\/a> est\u00e9 cerrada por remodelaci\u00f3n. Durante el programa, Mauro Trejo IV, miembro de la junta directiva de Los Descendientes y voluntario del Museo MexAm compartir\u00e1 ideas sobre varios aspectos de la historia de Tucson.
