DESCRIPTION:On the first Thursday of every month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. These evenings feature emerging and established food vendors\, unique art- making and gallery experiences\, and music! \nOn August 7 explore poetry found in the galleries and create your own found poem with Ami and Laila\, listen to music by Nicosa and purchase Filipino dishes food truck Nick’s Sari-Sari Store.  \nThrough 2025\, TMA will host the Mexican American Heritage and History Museum’s monthly history social during First Thursdays while the Sosa-Carrillo House is closed for remodel. During the program\, Mauro Trejo IV\, Los Descendientes board member and MexAm Museum volunteer will share insights on various aspects of Tucson’s history (register here). \nFirst Thursday is presented by an anonymous donor. \nRegister Here \n\nEl primer jueves de cada mes\, el Museo de Arte de Tucson y Bloque Histórico ofrece horarios extendidos y entrada de pago-lo-que-desea desde las 5 p. m. hasta las 8 p.m. ¡Estas noches cuentan con vendedores de comida\, experiencias únicas de creación de arte y galerías\, y música! \nEl 7 de agosto\, explora la poesía que se encuentra en las galerías y crea tu propio poema encontrado con Ami y Laila\, escucha música de Nicosa y compra platos filipinos del camión de comida Nick’s Sari-Sari Store.  \nDurante 2025\, TMA albergará la reunión social de historia mensual del Museo de Historia y Patrimonio Mexicano-Americano durante los primeros jueves mientras la Casa Sosa-Carrillo esté cerrada por remodelación. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Presidio Museum and the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block \nJoin the Tucson-Pima county Historical Commission along with the City of Tucson\, Pima County\, and Rio Nuevo Multipurpose District in a block party in honor of the yearlong Tucson 250+ celebration. \nThe evening will feature community partners\, demonstrations\, performances\, and food and drink available for purchase that highlights the rich history\, heritage\, and culture in Tucson and the surrounding area.
