DESCRIPTION:On the first Thursday of every month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. \nOn September 4th get inspired by the newly installed exhibition Condición Humana/ Human Condition: Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art in the Mary Jo Brown Gallery\, create tinfoil sculptures in  the art-making station\, participate in a scavenger hunt to find everyday items that tell a story in the Ya Hecho exhibit\, purchase food from Taco Stop and listen to music by Britt Warner in the galleries.  \nThrough 2025\, TMA will host the Mexican American Heritage and History Museum’s monthly history social during First Thursdays while the Sosa-Carrillo House is closed for remodel. During the program\, Mauro Trejo IV\, Los Descendientes board member and MexAm Museum volunteer will share insights on various aspects of Tucson’s history (register here). \nThis Month (until September 25th) TMA is partnering with Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s to host a food drive (see what’s most needed here). Bring in non-perishable food items with you to your next museum visit and drop them off in the donation boxes located in Mooney Hall (TMA’s east entry). \nFirst Thursday is presented by an anonymous donor. \nRegister Here \n\nEl primer jueves de cada mes\, el Museo de Arte de Tucson y Bloque Histórico ofrece horarios extendidos y entrada de pago-lo-que-desea desde las 5 p. m. hasta las 8 p.m.  El 4 de septiembre\, inspírate con la recién inaugurada exposición Condición Humana: Arte Latinoamericano Moderno y Contemporáneo en la Galería Mary Jo Brown\, crea esculturas de papel de aluminio en la estación de creación artística\, participa en una búsqueda del tesoro para encontrar objetos cotidianos que cuentan una historia en la exposición Ya Hecho\, compra comida en Taco Stop y escucha música de Britt Warner en las galerías. \nDurante 2025\, TMA albergará la reunión social de historia mensual del Museo de Historia y Patrimonio Mexicano-Americano durante los primeros jueves mientras la Casa Sosa-Carrillo esté cerrada por remodelación. Durante el programa\, Mauro Trejo IV\, miembro de la junta directiva de Los Descendientes y voluntario del Museo MexAm compartirá ideas sobre varios aspectos de la historia de Tucson (regístrate aquí). \nEste mes (hasta el 25 de septiembre)\, TMA se asocia con el Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona para organizar una colecta de alimentos (vea qué se necesita más aquí).
