SUMMARY:Time Travel through Life\, Loss\, & Death / Viaje en el Tiempo a través de la vida\, la pérdida y la muerte
DESCRIPTION:Capacity: 20 people\n$30 non-members / $25 members\nAll materials provided \nCara and Alice\, TMA Death Café facilitators\, bring their death-positive lens to create a unique guided experience through TMA’s Centennial Exhibition “Time Travelers: Foundations\, Transformations\, and Expansions at the Centennial”. Through a multidisciplinary approach\, we will encourage participants to navigate the complex emotions associated with loss while considering the timeless nature of art. After reflecting on the themes of foundations\, transformations\, and expansions lifted up in the exhibit\, we will gather for a facilitated group discussion and individual collage art projects to integrate our personal discoveries about the intersections of art\, growth\, death\, and showing up for life. We are excited to explore with you. \nAbout the instructors: \n \nCara Carrillo (she/her) is an Organizational Consultant\, Integrated Wellness and Life Coach\, and Death Doula. Her experience ranges from education to social justice and policy advocacy to mindfulness\, and leadership development. She integrates these different approaches to work with her sweet spot of sensing what is just beneath the surface to create the conditions for authentic and brave transformative experiences. Community building and showing up for the hard conversations is where her inspiration lies. \n  \n \nAlice Vath (she/her) is an intuitive who has been studying and reading tarot since 2014. She offers intuitive counseling and dreamwork sessions and teaches tarot and dream interpretation. She offers clients clarity to help them understand themselves and their choices to live their fullest and most meaningful lives. Her personal experience with caregiving\, grief\, and loss inspired her to become a trained and certified death doula\, and her death doula services include helping those who are dying\, and their loved ones navigate the end of life. Her passion for her work stems from the desire to bring people home to themselves\, so that their finite time on Earth is as full and present as possible. \nUpon request\, American Sign Language interpretation for workshops can be provided. Visitors can request this service up to two weeks before the date of the workshop. To request this service call Isaí Pacheco at ipacheco@tucsonmuseumofart.org or 520-616-2699.
