DESCRIPTION:On the first Thursday of every month the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block offers extended hours and pay-what-you-wish admission from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. These evenings feature emerging and established food vendors\, unique art-making and gallery experiences\, music\, community partners and more! \nOn March’s First Thursday explore Divergence of Legacy: Art of the American West in the 21st Century and diverse stories found throughout the museum. Purchase food from Sushi Hana\, enjoy a cash bar serving beer and wine\, music by DACTYLS\, and art and gallery activities led by Ami and Laila focused on color and landscape. \nThrough early 2025\, TMA will host the Mexican American Heritage and History Museum’s monthly history social during First Thursdays while the Sosa-Carrillo House is closed for remodel. During the program\, Mauro Trejo IV\, Los Descendientes board member and MexAm Museum volunteer will share insights on various aspects of Tucson’s history.
