Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block (TMA) Jon & Linda Ender Director and CEO, Norah Diedrich, steps down after leading the Museum since January 2023
Tucson, AZ – The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block announces the resignation of Norah Diedrich as the Jon and Linda Ender Director & Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2025. TMA has named Christopher Gordon as Interim Director and CEO. Chris is TMA’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and has acted as TMA’s Interim Director and CEO previously.
The recent transition occurs at a time when TMA is enjoying a period of stability and great opportunity. All programming and operations of TMA are on track to move forward without delay in the interim.
The Board of Trustees has formed a search committee and will work diligently and expeditiously to find a successor to Ms. Diedrich.
Ms. Diedrich joined TMA in January 2023 and, during her tenure, TMA has enjoyed great progress in many areas of its operations. During her two years as Director and CEO her significant achievements included:
- Oversight of 7 successful exhibitions, including the Bienal de Arizona;
- Adoption of a new 3-year strategic plan;
- Expansion of TMA’s educational programs, including summer camp; and
- Successful completion of the renovation of La Casa Cordova.
