Arizona Biennial 2024 - Selected Artists

The highly regarded Arizona Biennial, first organized as the Tucson Independent Artist group’s annual statewide exhibition in 1948, is a juried exhibition that showcases artworks from some of the most innovative and imaginative artists in the state. This exhibition provides an opportunity for both emerging and established artists to exhibit their art in a museum setting. For each biennial, a new juror from outside the state is chosen to select the works submitted by hundreds of artists and create a cohesive exhibition that serves as an overview of artistic creativity in Arizona. On view at from October 19, 2024–February 9, 2025.

Howl at the Museum - Friday, October 25 from 6-10 p.m.

Get dressed in your Halloween best and come join us for our annual evening of live music, interactive performances, drinks, light bites, and revelries, along with Whiskey Del Bac’s Showdown, a cocktail competition premiering creations by Tucson’s best bartenders. Tickets are $50 for General and $45 for TMA Members.

TMA TURNS 100!

Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block will be celebrating its Centennial in 2024—and you’re invited to join in the festivities. On March 20th, 1924, the leaders of the Arts Committee of the Tucson Woman’s Club, assembled a group of artists, art enthusiasts, and patrons who eagerly agreed to establish an art organization to benefit Tucson – and the Tucson Fine Arts Association became a reality. They could not have imagined that their nascent arts establishment would eventually become the oldest and largest cultural institution serving Southern Arizona – the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block (TMA).
