Starting in the 1960s, a small group of artists began making painted copies of photographs in near-microscopic detail. They captured everyday life in their portraits, still lifes and landscapes. The movement fell out of critical favor but continues to influence contemporary art. We’ll look at its beginnings and how it has evolved.

A partir de la década de 1960, un pequeño grupo de artistas comenzó a hacer copias pintadas de fotografías con detalles casi microscópicos.
