Enjoy a performance by Mariachi Las Aguilitas de Davis Bilingual Elementary School. Mariachi Las Aguilitas is a K-5 grade mariachi group that has existed for over 30 years in Tucson, Arizona.
Red Herring Puppets present The Friendly Chupacabra

Red Herring Puppets present The Friendly Chupacabra / El Chupacabra Amigable, a bilingual puppet performance based on tales from Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. This legendary creature invokes fear and wonder, but in our telling, a brave girl and her goat tame the lonely beast with friendship. The show features a colorful scrolling backdrop, hand-crafted puppets, and original music and vocals by members of Tucson’s Las Azaleas mariachi band. The show is funded in part by the Jim Henson Foundation and the Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona.
Red Herring Puppets, have toured nationally for many years. They’ve been featured at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, NYC’s International Puppet Fringe Festival, Boston’s Puppet Showplace, Cleveland’s Maltz Museum, Open Eye Theatre in Minneapolis, and The Great Arizona Puppet Theatre in Phoenix. Their work has earned a California Emmy, a Telly Award, and an UNIMA Citation of Excellence, the highest honor in American puppetry. Red Herring is an Artistic Associate at Tucson’s Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre.
Second SundAZe is presented by The Stonewall Foundation Fund held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. This program was funded in part by Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona with funding from The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 through the City of Tucson.
