In conjunction with TMA’s hundredth year celebration, this Art Talk is dedicated to Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. Toulouse-Lautrec was Montmartre’s premier artist-observer of Belle Epoque. We will spend time discussing his life, the Cafe-Concert scene, and the culture of celebrity that was Montmartre. In doing so, we will examine his paintings, watercolors, lithographs, and posters that immortalized the people and places of the late 19th century Montmartre neighborhood of Paris.
Monthly lectures examine art and artists that have influenced the world, from the great classics of Europe to the art of the Southwest, to the most exciting trends in modern and contemporary art. The Museum will also be open on those days, so bring the family, enjoy the Art Talk, and then wander the galleries!
Art Talks are $5 for non-members; free for TMA members and students with ID.

En colaboración con el año de la celebración del centenario del museo TMA, esta Plática de Arte está dedicada a Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. El primer artista-observador de la Bella Época en Montmartre. Discutiremos su vida, el ámbito del Café-Concert y la cultura de las celebridades ubicada en Montmartre. Y con ello, examinaremos sus pinturas, acuarelas, litografías y posters que inmortalizaron a la gente y los lugares de finales del siglo XIX en el barrio de Montmartre en París.
Las ponencias mensuales examinan el arte y los artistas que han influido en el mundo, desde los grandes clásicos del arte europeo hasta el arte del suroeste, a las más emocionantes tendencias en el arte moderno y contemporáneo. El museo se mantendrá abierto estos días, así que invita a toda tu familia para disfrutar la Plática de Arte y después recorre las galerías!
Las Pláticas de Arte cuestan $5 para no miembros y son gratis para miembros del museo TMA y estudiantes con identificación.
